LOUISVILLE, CO – Aug. 23, 2012 – NexGen Storage today announced it has formed a technology alliance partnership with Veeam Software to deliver instant virtual machine (VM) restores, faster backups, and offsite replication capabilities for disaster recovery (DR). The new offering, available to NexGen customers at no additional cost, allows customers to replicate data from a NexGen Storage system to any other storage system supported by Veeam Software and protects existing storage system investments.

With Veeam’s Virtual Machine-based replication, NexGen customers can seamlessly deploy replication-based failover (same-site or remote-site) for enhanced DR. Customers can protect existing storage system investments by repurposing aging systems as replication targets. In addition, host-based replication offers a simplified, one-step replication process.
NexGen’s n5 Series storage systems deliver PCIe SSD storage with QoS (quality of service), and enable customers to achieve high performance and extreme efficiency. NexGen offers a solid-state performance guarantee that promises 10 times more IOPs per rack unit than any other disk-based array or 3 times more IOPs per rack unit than any conventional hybrid array, which ensures lightning-fast restores.
